our installation 2016 Posted on Sun, May 22, 2016 15:26:50

Last Week

Our big
event this week was the Installation of our Right Worshipful Master and
the office bearers. As important was a chance to reflect and celebrate
some of the many achievements of our lodge in the past year as a stepping off
point for the year ahead of us. We were joined in our formal harmony by
two gentlemen who are in the process of joining the lodge and they were left
‘wide-eyed’ by the warm and friendly nature of our gathering.

We
were particularly grateful to see so many visiting Brethren from the Province
of Midlothian and much further afield (even Finland) at our installation. Some photos of our
wonderful night made it to a Brother from W.L. L’Angle Nord-Est
(North-East Angle) n° 682, Lyon who recently visited us. And it sparked
fond memories of his first visit and hope to return soon. It
goes to show just how important visiting other lodges really is and this is a
useful chance to promote again the Provincial Grand Lodge of Midlothian

Next Week

Our
committee meeting is tomorrow on Monday 23rd May , office bearers are requested
to make every effort to attend.

The only
regular meeting in the province of Midlothian this week coming is at Colinton
& Currie 1029. The lodge tyles at 7.15 p.m. on Wednesday, 25th May.

Additionally
this week, The Lodge of Edinburgh (Mary’s Chapel) No. 1 holds their special
meeting on Tuesday 24th May. The lodge tyles at 6 p.m. at Freemasons Hall
in George Street. Our Immediate Past Master, Bro. Alan Carmichael will be
attending this event.

Forward Note

To make
particular mention for our deputation to the lodge of Melrose St. John 1bis on
the 27th June 2016. I hope many of you will be able to support your Right
Worshipful Master and the lodge.
